I’m honored to be featured in September's Coastal Virginia Magazine! Marisa and I chatted for the better part of three hours about all things DEEP BLACK — origins, inspo, purpose, journey, music, musings, and much more. So much more that I was curious how she would fit our beautiful conversation into an article. I’m pleased to say, she did; the article is generous, accurate, layered, and deep. Marisa effortlessly weaves minute details between the larger threads of my being to create a sumptuous piece that chronicles the state of DEEP BLACK as it is today.
I also have to give a huge shout out to the photo editor. I submitted a couple dozen photos and had no idea what would be chosen until the issue hit newsstands. So imagine my surprise when I flip to page 14 and there’s my face — full page! Now that we’ve established that my face card never declines (my gawd!), prepare to see a lot more of it. Lastly, I was surprised to see another mention a couple pages later regarding Codex’s new lunch service and stunning new dishes by yours truly. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank everyone involved with this piece, I appreciate everything that went into it.
